Is it possible to use the fillet command with an ellipse? The command works with circles but not ellipse.

Not sure why you are asking the question if you already know the answer.  Were you expecting a magic workaround?

Hello GPeters, when you are modifying ellipses and splines it's better to use the TRIM and/or EXTEND command if not you may modify the curves themselves.
A direct use of the grips may also modify the curves.
