Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered before, i use autoCAD 2014 and i am looking to improve the standard off my drawings, mainly with colour or render. Is there a software i can use to render. At present, i only draw in 2D so if there is a way of rendering elevations to look almost life like that would be perfect.

Thanks for any information, much appreciated.

Steve

You can't render 2D objects.

After giving it some thought I came up with an alternative.  Get SketchUP, by Gimble, and use that to create your 2D elevations and give them the appearance of a rendering.  SketchUP is a program used to prepare presentations by architects.  There is, or at least used to be, both a free and paid (i.e. - Pro) version.

Hello show89 and John, eventually you could apply some hatches with the style "gradient" like the one you can see on this drawing in the CAD/BIM Blocks library right here in the site :
People_Rudy_Wicaksono_Block_4.dwg and take a look at the helmet of the rider.
