Hi, all I want to do is import Xref which consist of lots of layers and colours and change to a light grey (only in host drawing) I would also like to turn on/off layers in the xref with out going through every single layer from other xrefs etc. Can anyone help this is my first post?

You can also assign a grey plotstyle to your xref layers to plot only in grey.

trying the plot style option, but in layer manager its greyed out - so I can not change it? how do I turn this function on - PS is there no way of greying out blocks attached on the xref aswell?

You are probably using the color-dependend plot style. Use the CONVERTPSTYLES command first - see:

Ok got it working by importing drawing into stb template.
 
there must be away to change colour of blocks in xref......
 
I like to work on a drawing looking like the outcome
