in model space I set that everything to see purple, it could do so when selecting a block, etc online or edited in place a block  back the original colors?

Hello jim78b, the colors of the lines of your blocks can be define "by layer" or "by block".
If you change the colors of "everything to see purple" by selecting the objects and changing the colors then :
-1- the blocks with lines "by layer" will stay of their colors.
-2- the blocks with lines "by block" will change to the color selected.
 
Question : how did t you set "everything to see purple".
Personnaly I don't "ovewrite" the colors, line type other than changing the layer ( that will automatically change the layer, line type and color of the objects.
