Hi all,

I have some co workers that are pretty old school in their work. So they normally have GRIPS set to 0 on their AutoCAD. I just created a dynamic block that utilizes different visibility layouts, but when then click the block they naturally can't see the grips to change the visibility. I found a way where they can change it in their properties menu and that seems to work well.

My question is there a way to adjust their grip setting to not show anything but dynamic grips or is a function not available? I'm using AutoCAD 2014.

I don't think there is a system variable that would allow for only displaying dynamic grips.

Add a line to acaddoc.lsp that sets the grips variable to enabled on your coworkers' computers.

(SETVAR “GRIPS” 1)

I figured as much. Hey John, another random question. I can't figure out the difference between Grips var 1 and 2. Do you know?

1 - Displays grips
2 - Displays additional midpoint grips on polyline segments
