Hello,

I'm using Autocad2004 and at one of my projects I have to modify a layer color. The problem is that when I go Format->Layer and chage the color, for most of the layers the color remains unchanged, though the color of the layer is changed in Layer Proprieties, and it's gray (like being deactivated or something). And when I select most of the objects, the whole layers which I couldn't change the color (the gray ones) become selected, like being inerconected. Is there an option that I don't know for breaking them apart? I didn't find anything on Autocad's Help.

Thanks in advance

Firstly : Are you drawing items and asssigning the colour "by layer" or a specific colour?  (This is in 2005..)  You need to select the items in question and then check to see what colour is assigned to them, i.e. by layer or a specific one, if you set it to by layer then it will be assigned the default layer colour..

Secondly : If the items are joined together, you could try exploding them..?
