I have been using CAD for 15 years now and have never encountered a ploblem like this until today.  I am trying to copy the floor plan from the drawing supplied by the architect into my drawing.  I the architects drawing everything looks fine.  However when I paste it into my drawing file random items appear that should not be there i,e. doors instead of windows, text out of place, etc.  I have tried purging, exploding, overkill, and audit.  Really don't want to wast time redrawing the messed up items.  HELP!!!

Would you be willing to share the two drawings with us to better troubleshoot the problem?

I got it figured out.  The architect who provided me the drawings doesn't use AutoCAD.  He uses, whatever software he uses, then runs it through a converted so it can be read as a DWG file.  Cheap software equals headaches to say the least.
