I have a problem with a file size 0.16 Mb becoming 16 Mb when inserting a .jpg file inside it for drawing approx. 30 lines and arcs.
When it delete the image to lower the size of the file it stays at 16 Mb.
I have done SCALELISTDELALL, PURGE and it doesn't change ( and I can't upload it here because of the size ).

Did you try to WBlock out the contents (AutoCAD objects) to a new drawing file?

Upload the drawing to a file sharing website like Dropbox and post a link to it here.

Yes, John I did a WBLOCK command to take the things out to a new file with the same size 16 Mb.
I will try and make a block and take it out with the AutoCAD design Center ( ctrl+2 ) but I'm afraid that it will be the same as copy/paste to a new file that I have already tested.
AutoCAD Design Center works the same and now I have done a new copy file of it, erased everything including all the layouts, purged and it's still of the same size ( me NOT happy ).

I guess you aren't going to follow the second piece of advice I gave you.

I can't attempt to fix the problem for you without a copy of the actual .DWG file.

Sorry John, I'm here at work and not totally free to send .dwg everywhere, still don't know how I can yet send files here on the site.
But I'm still interested in reworking my file but not  just right now.

If that works for you fine.  Good luck.
