I am having trouble using the RTEXT command. Instead of AutoCAD's plot stamp, we are using the RTEXT command to indicate time of plot, and drawing location.

The rtext lists the file location and plot time, but a small box appears everywhere a "\" is. for example C:[]projects[]drawing.dwg[].

and it should be C:\projects\drawing.dwg

It's obviously an issue related to text, any one have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

p.s. I am using Autocad 2007 registered on a modern HP Laptop.

Please check the font (text style) you are using for the Rtext. It may not contain the right glyph for the "\" character.

I'm not sure how to check the font style for an RTEXT entry. But I did however change the text style of the RTEXT from Ariel, to times new roman, and the same box appeared where the "/" should be.

Hi

when you use Rtext comand

RTEXT

Enter an option [Style/Height/Rotation/File/Diesel]

Enter name of text style or [?] <LUCIDA>:

Enter an option [Style/Height/Rotation/File/Diesel] <File>: H
Specify height <2.5000>:
Current settings: Style=LUCIDA  Height=2.500
