I like to extract quantities in excel from CAD. the blocks are in Attributes. what is the procedure to get quantity.

One option would be to use the DATAEXTRACTION feature of AutoCAD.  There are others.

Have you figured out how to extract attributes from AutoCAD and get them into Excel yet?
