I am making funnels for a friend and he requested some interesting design what he asked is that the sides be convex (kind of bubbled up) yet keep the edges as curving inward. I have attached pictures of what I have wants to achieve. He used a lighter to heat up the plastic and try to melt it to shape to show me what he hants here is the picture. I am using PTC creo there is a surface editing tool which I can pull the surface up to a convex form but I cant keep the edges as they are. I am willing to use another cad software if it will help achieve this design.

Yes, it can be done. Maybe its your approach that is flawed. BTW..."bubbled up" is not the same as convex.

Hello Lion-Sage and John, eventually see this if OK on your PTC Creo as it would be done on AutoCAD.
