I tried SOL2SOLH on several drawings and I found that on some of them the hatches are created away from original solid objects.
This is a VLX problem or a DWG problem?

Thanks for sending a sample drawing. Those solids had negative extrusion vectors - fixed Sol2SolH to handle these special types of objects (see V1.2 on Download).

One more thing.
If the solid is in Layout the resulted hatch will be created in Model.
