I have noticed with my new 2009 that after selecting and highlighting one or more objects, then changing a property (for example colour), the highlighted selection set is automatically cancelled.

On all my previous versions of AutoCAD, the selected set would remain highlighted, enabling me to change a second or third property.

This is a little infuriating at times, as I have to re-slect all the items.

Please can someone tell me where I am going wrong.

Thankyou

From the format Menu select Options. Thera is a menu in there called "Selection" and there is a check box called "Noun/verb selection"

That´s were you controll that function!

Or variable [VAR]PICKFIRST[/VAR] controls that.

I'm sorry for my bad English. Kackac

thanks for quick reply...

unfortunately i still have problem.

I already have noun/verb box ticked,  so that I can select objects before changing their properties.

ie.
1) I select an object.
2) It is highlighted.
3) I change the colour of object in the colour menu.
4) The object changes colour, but the highlight disappears.

If I change the noun/verb box to empty box (unticked),  then I can not select an object first to change it's properties.

I have always been able to pick several objects (highlighting them), then change several properties at a time, without the need to re-select them again.

Maybe I am going mad  @_@ !
