Hi,

I am a SolidWorks user and I've recently been sent some files with a .CAD extension. I've looked around and found out that the extension is associated with Softdesk Drafix, QuickCAD, and as a non-native format known as GenCAD. I don't know which it is (though I'm guessing GenCAD), but either way I can't open it in SolidWorks. I also have access to ProE, but that doesn't help either. Unfortunately, I'm quite removed from the original source and it is quite unlikely that I can get it in another format. Does anyone know of conversion softare that could help me get .CAD into SolidWorks? Even if I could go from .CAD to .dxf or .dwg that would be great.

Thanks for your help
