I am a custom home designer and have been using Autocad Architectural for years.  I am getting more into 3D and have looked at Revit as an option.  What other programs are geared for 3D residential design?

There it's a lots of ways. It depends what you exectly need (design construction, architectural studies, visualization ot other stuff). I used ADT, ArchiCAD an other stuff and my final choice is Revit.

Thanks.  I have been studying the Revit 2009 program and I really like it.  I just wanted to confirm that it was a good direction to be going in.  I am using it for design and for my clients to be able to visualize the project.  Did you use a study program?

Yes, of course. I made a project for residential living and other stuff in Revit Architecture.
