Hi! whenever I copy something from another file, a different object is pasted. I think I need to clear some kind of a clipboard. Im not sure though. Pls help! Thanks!

Isn't that copyed objects blocks? If you copy a block from drawing A and paste it into drawing B, in which a block with the same name already exists but looks different, pasted block take a look according to the block definition in drawing B, so it doesn't look like as in drawing A.
