We wish to draw a straight line, tangential to a circle at an angle.
Can someone tell us how to do this.
Thanks

Have you tried with OSNAP Tan Mode?

Is this where you hold the shift key down, right click in the drawing space and alter the OSNAP properties, ticking the TAN option.
If so it doesn't make any difference.
If you click the draw a line button, then click the tangent to a circle button, pick the circle you wish to draw the line tangential too, then ......
This is where if you were drawing a line from a point at an angle you could just press the tab button then enter the angle you require, but you don't have that option in the scenario outlined above.
Does anyone know another way??

If you draw a line at the appropriate angle and then move it and get it to snap to the circle at a nearest point, will this do what you want?

Are you sure?
If you pick the item up using an OSnap then it will be very accurate...
I think you might need to describe what you are attempting to achieve...
I think you want a line at a specified angle, to be attached tangentially to a circle. The above describes this.
OR
Draw a straight line, ortho. Then draw the circle... then move the circle to the line, using OSnap quadrants. Then OSnap to the line, midpoint. Then rotate the whole item, to the required angle?
OR
Draw the line at the required angle. Then draw the circle from the line, midpoint (2P)

Thanks for your help.
Rotating the circle after drawing a perpendicular line from the mid point should help.
