I changed the linetype of one layer to DOTs. But now whenever I draw anything in any other layer it comes out as a dotted line. Why is this?
If I hadn't needed to change a line to a different layer, I would never have noticed. But since I did, I tried setting all the layers to continuous solid lines, including the one I wanted to be dots. But even this did nothing. It still draws every new line as dots and I have to go to properties and change it to solid.
Can someone tell me how to stop this?
Thank you, Roger

It sounds like you have set the "current" linetype to dots. Therefore everything you draw will have that linetype, until you change that. You need to go to the Properties toolbar and set the linetype to solid or by layer (if it's solid!) and then everything you draw will have that linetype.. It's a bit like setting the current layer to a certain layer, everything you draw will be on that layer until you change the current layer again.

Thanks rossassociates, I kept trying to do that, but the Properties box would say the Linetype was "By Layer" and still the lines would be drawn as Dots. Until I finally rebooted my computer and started over. Then everything was all right again. I guess the program got stuck in some mode and could not get out of it.
Thanks Again, Roger member_profile.asp?PF=22753&FID=2 -
