Hi, I hope i am posting in the right section of this forum.

I am using Autocad CIVIL 3D, ver. 2008.

My problem is that i can see the full menu at the top of the screen..

I only see File - View - Window - Help.. tats it. and its really been bugging me very much..

I also can't get the Open File Dialog when u want to open a file and search it directly. Instead i have to type out the full command.

Whats the problem? Please help me? Please?... pls...0

Hi,

You need to change to profile for this software. Follow the instructions below to get it done:

Goto:
Options – Profiles : You will get a list (1 or 2) profiles in the main window. Select any of the listed profiles and Press Set Current tab. It should help you to get desired menu in the top of the screen. If first profile do not work, go for the second one listed there using same method.

Enjoy!

But it still cant get the pop-up dialog when i click on File -> Open.

to get so you can open files directly in the command line>"fileDIA" set value to "1" that will solve your problem with that.  I also use civil3D 2008 and i have found that happen alot lately with loosing short cut toolbars at the top.  I usually go to tools>options>profiles>and click Reset that usually does the trick.
