Hello everybody.

I am brand new to CAD and this is my first Post, so please go easy on me if I ask silly questions.   I am sure my questions are easy for you experts to advise on.

The first question is this, I have made a simple drawing using the the Metric Template.  I have come to fill in the Title Box at the bottom right of my drawing but cannot enter any information into the Box.  The Box as 3 Xs in each of the fields and this is what I need to Edit.

Secondly, I was drawing one of the CAD exercises and was asked to draw an Object at co-ordinate 100, 120.  However, when i moved my Cursor over to the 0,0 Origin it already as a co-ordinate of 350, 175.  How do I reset this to 0,0 so that my exercise co-ordinates fit on the Page.

I hve tried using the Search facility for answers but had no luck.

Many thanks.

Bing.

The title block was it created by someone using block attributes? if so all you have to do is double click one of the attributes to get the text edit window. Or you can single click them and edit them from your properties window.  Your linework you need to move back to the origin is easy select it then select the move command and then click the point on your linework you wish to move back to the origin then type in 0,0,0 that will place it back where you need it.  If I am understanding your problems correctly this should fix it.  Your title block if what I suggested does not work, select the text you need to edit just once and see what kind of entity it is from the properties window then we can instruct you better with a fix to help.

Thankyou for your reply msplcdykee69.  Like you say things are usually easy once you are pointed in the right direction.  You would't believe the amount of different things i have tried to get in to that Title BlockAngry

I'm sure i will be on here a lot asking silly questions until i get going, so please bear with me.

Once again many thanks.

It is not a problem. That is what we are here for.  Were you able to edit your title block?  If you do not mind send it to me so this way I can see what the problem might be.

msplcdykee69.
Yes i managed to edit the Title Block by double clicking one of the fields in the Block, then a list appeared of each field and this is where i edited the Title Block.  Oncw I clicked on apply and OK my information details were added to the Title Block.

There doesn't appear to be an option on the E-mail for me to attach the file to show you?

Going to work now, i will check out posts tonight.
