Hi Guys,
A year ago I had created AutoCad 2004 files, now I can't open them on my computer, any idea?
I 'm getting a message saying " couldn't open the specify file". Even I can't preview them before opening them.

Thanks

I think you made some damage to the file or that file was opened with higher version of AutoCAD and was not saved back to previous version.
Try opening with higher version of Autocad.
Check the size of file does that file . If it is leass tahn 10 KB or so then the file is corrupted.

Hii tkelly,
Thanks for your response.
I have checked the files size and there were all more than 100Kb.
I had created them in Autocade2004 and I tried to open them in AutoCad2004 as well.

Try to 'recover' the drawing in AutoCAD or try this converter to repair the drawing file:
http:// - AutoDWG DWG DXF Converter ( http://www.autodwg.com/DWG_DXF_Converter/ - http://www.autodwg.com/DWG_DXF_Converter/ )
With this converter, you just need to add the draiwng in the list, choose version conversion and output 2004 version. with clicking on convert button, drawing file in 2004 version will be generated.

Thanks a lot brother Amerie White,
I have tried the program you sent me but I'm keep getting the message (attached snap shot) every time I want to access to the CAD files.
Please see the attached file on the following link:

It seems there is something to do with the path name. You can try to put the draiwng on Desktop and see if it works.
