I am a land surveyor with limited autocad ability.

My surveying software called liscad plots different symbols for different ground features. The symbols have a dimension attached to them defined by the surveyor in the field. e.g. a power pole is defined as 0.3m diameter in the field!

When exported into autocad the software applies this scaling to the block, i.e. scale x, scale y, scale z displayed in the autocad properties reflects the symbol size in liscad.

The problem arises as text is defined in the block. e.g. the block for power pole is to be a circle of 0.3m radius with the letters PP located close to it.

I am basically looking at how I need to define the block in autocad so that scaling is only applied to the circular part, i.e. the power pole part.

I believe I need to use block authoring palettes, is this correct?
