I've come into work this morning and opened up some drawings I was working on yesterday. When I open the drawings this comes up in the output window;

Resolve Xref "Topo Survey_2D_26.09.08_ MX": .\3.1.1_X-Refs\Topo
Survey_2D_26.09.08_ MX.dwg
"Topo Survey_2D_26.09.08_ MX" loaded: P:\A2 Projects\Team X\X208759
Workington\3.1 Current Drawings\3.1.1_X-Refs\Topo Survey_2D_26.09.08_ MX.dwg
Resolve Xref "Architects Layout 02.10.08": P:\A2 Projects\Team X\X208759
Workington\3.1 Current Drawings\3.1.1_X-Refs\Architects Layout 02.10.08.dwg
"Architects Layout 02.10.08" loaded.
Resolve Xref "Project Support": P:\A2 Projects\Team X\X208759 Workington\3.1
Current Drawings\3.1.1_X-Refs\Project Support.dwg
"Project Support" loaded.
Resolve Xref "Site Clearance Xref 09.12.08": .\3.1.1_X-Refs\Site Clearance Xref
09.12.08.dwg
"Site Clearance Xref 09.12.08" loaded: P:\A2 Projects\Team X\X208759
Workington\3.1 Current Drawings\3.1.1_X-Refs\Site Clearance Xref 09.12.08.dwg
Resolve Xref "Design Xref 09.12.08": .\3.1.1_X-Refs\Design Xref 09.12.08.dwg
"Design Xref 09.12.08" loaded: P:\A2 Projects\Team X\X208759 Workington\3.1
Current Drawings\3.1.1_X-Refs\Design Xref 09.12.08.dwg

I think I understand that CAD says this when it cant find an xref. What the strange thing is is that the xrefs dated 09.12.08 were deleted yesterday, and replaced with xrefs dated 03.08.09. When I look in my xref folder the files dated 03.08.09 are no longer and have been replaced by the old files!!!! I'm very confused.

I've had a look everywhere for then, they're not even in my temp files. Could this be a CAD problem or is the server playing games with me?

Cheers

Sounds like somone is playing with the database. I have co-workers that like to "organize" sometimes. By the looks of it the reference you're using has a long path to travel & the culprit didn't know he was messing with your drawing. If possible I usualy try to keep a copy of my x-ref in a folder close to my project to prevent this.
