Hi all

I am using Autocad 2008 LT.

In my drawing I want to have two layout tabs and i only want certain parts to be shown in one.

In short, if i was to have a line in model space can i break the line into two parts, have the two parts put on seperate layers. Then on one layout tab view the two parts, but on the other layout tab only see one of the parts.

Is it a setting in the layers manager I need to activate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Create a viewport on first paperspace tab -- by default it shows both layers, therefore both lines.
Now, duplicate the entire layout tab to make the second tab. Double-click inside the viewport. Then in your drop-down layer list, there are two ways to freeze the layer of the line that you don't want to show. One simply freezes it everywhere, which you don't want. The smaller symbol is for freezing it in just that viewport...
