Hello,

This may be a simple question but i have been cutting a few corners for too long.

I have created blocks in CAD but need to insert them into a drawing at the same scale as the drawings itself.  Im currently copying them into model space and resizing them as the are hundreds of times too big.

Please help me with the following:

How to create a block at scale 1:1
How to insert a block at the same scale as the drawing
Once finished how do I group all the blocks and bind them ready to be sent over to our client (as he wants just the symbols so he can overlay on the drawing his end).

Thanks in Advance

Sam

You have to tell AutoCAD what you mean by the 1:1 scale (meters? inches? millimeters?). This is done by the INSUNITS variable.

Once you have INSUNITS set properly both in the source (block) drawing and the target (main) drawing, blocks will be scaled automatically.
