hey,

i need to draw a cage , in 3d , autocad 2010.
what is the best way to have the most beautiful result?

something like that,
with a frame and a wire in front...
i'm spending hours to draw something like that, maybe you know an easier way.
Thanks

What bothers you about the picture?

Do you want smoother lines?

Having trouble with properties?

If you're looking for something that looks better than 'REALISTIC' when you render try the command -SHADEMODE (don't forget the dash in front or you get the normal options) & then select GOURAUD.

I use 08 & this gets rid of lines & makes an image look like it has smoother transitions as if it really is in front of you.

However, if you're having trouble creating a 3D shape could you elaborate? There's usualy more than one way of doing things in CAD.

its just the best way of creating such thing...
i have to draw all white lines by my hand with line command and offset command. and fill the bars with solids. Make a hash in front for the wire.
the cage is 16meters x 8meters, its a lot of drawing by hand... no way faster to draw "a panel" "a frame"

Sounds like you are simply using the hatch command.
Very tedious indeed. You might try creating shapes, and extruding them. Then use the shade mode set to gourand as stated previously. Either way to get that level of realistic detail in Acad takes devotion, lol.

could you show me a realistic example? aluminium frame 40x40mm with wire infront.
what do people do to create that with grass and earth and trees etc?

Earth, grass and trees? Man are you detailed! Thats usually left for 3D programs like Inventor or ProE or SolidWorks...
