unreconciled layers appear to have no impact on my work, model space/layouts/plotting included, but every now and again when opening a new template a message appears informing me of unreconciled layers.  i simply ignore it at the moment but would ideally like to eradicate this from my work permanently

this is a query as opposed to problem as it is more of irritance than anything.

Confused

Hi sgt_...
Try set STANDARDSVIOLATION 2, maybe this fixs your problem. I think you should look for this system variable in AutoCAD Help.
Let me know if it has helped you.

I too was irritated with the unreconciled layers message that came up every time I wanted to print. I figured out that if I go to the layer dialog box, pick all layers and right click, a "reconcile layers" option is there, so take it. The annoance goes away until you create a new layer in your file or xref'd file.
