hi, i am using civil 3d 2009
i have a dwg where i have insert>ratser image (its a ortho photo tiff 450mb)
when i plot > preview it looks fine but when i plot to pdf the ortho phot comes out way too pixelated a dn blocky thats its unusable.

i have tried RASTERTHRESEHOLD and RASTERPERCENT but thats not fixing it.
i have also tried converting the tiff  into a jpg 120mb

whats causing this? is it size if the images?

any help at all will be appreciated.
thanks

ps i have used teh IMAGECLIP command but i think it still keeps teh whole image in the memory rather than just the small section of the raster i am suing. i would like to be able to permantly crop the unused area.
