Back in http://www.autodesk.com/autocad - AutoCAD 2009 we introduced the Ribbon User Interface (UI) element which was first introduced in the Microsoft Office 2007 products and now in many software products on the market.

The change placed some on the fence as change is always something of a challenge for longtime veteran product users. Luckily http://www.autodesk.com - Autodesk ’s AutoCAD Team was smart enough to think ahead and allow you to choose the classic interface or the new ribbon interface.

Since then many have grown to love the Ribbon especially when in AutoCAD 2010 it was updated even more based on customer feedback. Now most like the ribbon for task based selections in Autodesk products but some still prefer the classic mode.
