office build advise please

I just realized I should have made my own thread like this rather than replying to some other guys with my semi-related question.

I struggle at work everyday because my boss insists on buying Dells. So tonight (and most Nights) I had to bring a project home with me because I could not plot PDF, DWF, PLT,or actual Paper without dropping layers or fatal error. My home system chugs right though these problems in fractions of a second no errors. It's getting to the point at work that i can't trim or pedit a spline on a golf course sized 3D map file without sending an email to AutoDesk about how '09 map just puked on me. What system components do you think are the most important?

My home system:
    * Processor: Intel Q9450 Core 2 Quad 333x8
    * Motherboard: Gigabyte X48-DQ6
    * Memory: Mushkin XP2 Redline 8000 4 x 2GB 5-5-5-12
    * Video Cards: 2(xfire) Visiontek HD 4870
    * Power Supply: Zalman 1Kw Modular power supply
    * Hard Drive: 1 Seagate 1TB SATA 7500 rpm
    * Optical Drive: LG 20x DVD+/-RW
    * OS: Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (I know, I'm just waiting on the next sys failure to drop 7 on there)
    * 4 GB readyboost
    * Antec 1200 with enough fans to orbit a small Coloradan kid
    * AutoCad Map 3D '10
Work system:
    * some bs Dell with bs Dell parts. Quad core 4GB ram (from like home Depot) loads of junkware(from? you guessed it Dell)and a bundled junkware ridden version windows XP that I cant repair without an admin password that the Dellvil wont give me
    * * AutoCad Map 3D '06-'09

At the time my home pc was the state but I can't convince my boss he needs a gaming rig at the office what do you think is important to massive AutoCad DWGs? I thought I needed a software or phyisical rip but my sales chick said it wouldn't help.

That sucks man, I remember when I first started working at my job the computers were junk...always crashing, all that.
The hardest part is going to be convincing a bunch of ancient (sorry, aging workforce) managers and paper pushers that your productivity will acutally increase. Its hard for the ...elders to understand, lmfao. good luck!
