Some files i've inherited contain multiple layouts on a single layout tab. I'm trying to find out if there's a quick way of plotting them instead of using the window command and repeating for each one.

Check the bottom of your window. You should find a tab called quick view layouts. click it. if its not there, in the command line type 'qvlayout'. then select the publish option. follow the prompts.
Just learned this one from good ol Vladimir a few days ago.

Thanks for your help Tulip3D, however i've only actually got one layout tab to publish/plot, trouble is the one tab has about 50 drawings/viewports on it. I need a kind of 'publish for multiple windows' command, any ideas?

holy sh*t man ...thats alot of views for one layout!
First instinct would be to move those views/drawings to different tabs.
But that dosent answer your question.
Hmmmm....well, im drawing a blank right now.
Anybody else got any ideas?
Maybe later in the day something will strike me...

See below, from the mouth of god himself, lol: I understand you'd like to plot the individual viewports on a layout tab as separate pages. Unfortunately, that's not how layouts/viewports are designed to work. The layout tab represents a virtual piece of paper, intended to provide an accurate representation of what your plotted page will look like. Viewports are merely windows into the Model tab, and as such are just elements to be placed onto layout tabs, in the same way as any other paper space object. Certainly, as you suggested, you can window each viewport for plotting purposes, but there wouldn't then be a way to send all of them to your plotter at the same time. I apologize that I cannot provide you with a solution to produce the exact result you're seeking in this case; AutoCAD is just not set up to do that.
