Hi

I'm new to Autocad.
I'm doing tutorials from two autocad books. AutoCAD 2010 Bible and AutoCAD 2010 Tutor for Engineering Graphics. Both books are very good, but got some reason when I do the chapter on layouts in both books, I seem to have a problem at the same stage in the tutorials from these books. Both books show you how to add a titleblock to the layout of the drawing they use for that chapter tutorial, but in both cases, the title block that I add using their instructions is not the right size and it doesn't fit over the page. In the AutoCAD bible the titleblock is way too small for the layout page and in the bottom left corner, (not the position and size the book shows it to be) and in the other book the titleblock, is way too huge.

Two books couldn't possible have errors or misleading tutorials. It must be something to do with my setup. Does anyone know what kind of setting would hinder these tutorials from working properly?

Regards
David.

Welcome to the forums Bucephalus!

I had the same "uneducated title block" problem.
Glad I solved it!

For starters, try this ready made title block, download and work on it a bit.
