I have xrefed a drawing into another.

In the paperspace viewport I turn of layers that I don't want to see. Ok so far.

When I go back into the drawing and reload the xref to update the view the layers I had previously turned off re-appear again.

Can anyone explain why the layers do not stay turned off. I don't want to keep having to turn them off every time I reload the xref.

Cheers

I got the answer.

Set the 'Visretain' varable to 1  :)

This also ensures your xrefs actually print out and not look like they are on an invisible layer.
