cloud command error message

when i select my cloud command and start shapping the area i want clouded then hit select, a message says "invalid point" what is this about?

Your command works different than mine..
 
-Starts with "revcloud".
-You either pick a series of points to define the alignment, or you hit "object"<return> to then select an object to define the alignment
 
Not sure what "hit select" means but that may be the problem...
