| I want to display AutoCAD on a 50 inch plasma screen to show my customers. Does anyone have experience if a plasma panel or a lcd panel would be the better choice. |

No experience with the plasma panel but, the LCD panels show beautifully.
I believe plasma is best in low light, LCD in brightly (or brighter) viewing areas.

Like Tank said, Plasma has a better picture. But you would have to worry about burn-in, especially using autocad, because of all the images that never change location...toolbars, icons, ect.
Go with LCD. We have a 50" i beleive LCD and customers love our presentations with it.

A friend lost his power one night, went to bed.
When he awoke, he had the channel 6 logo burned into his plasma screen, permanently I believe.
Another, fried his TV's, computers, all electronic stuff during a period of lightning strikes, ouch! The storm blew power right through his plugged in surge protectors.
The power came on sometime while he slept for hours and the channel six news was on.........he was peeved! Perhaps, good idea, unplug electronic equipment during electrical storms and/or outages.
I've given some thought to a whole house surge protector. Seems inexpensive enough to install and, the protection would be worth it.
