Could anyone please advise me if there is a library in autodesk inventor 2010 wher you can find nuts and bolts

Yes but it needs to be loaded at install (Content Center). If loaded you should be able to start a new Assembly. The first icon in the ribbon is Place. If you hit the drop down arrow you should have an option for Place From Content Center. From there you have a wide range of standard hardware components.
 
Let me know if you dont have content center...

Try using the design accelerator for bolting, its quicker.
