Hello, I'm new here.

I'm trying to figure out a way to place a circle somewhere in a drawing, and then copy the circle, plus anything that resides inside the circle, without having to trim the objects around the circle.

this would be used for making a "blown-up" view of detailed areas of a drawing, so I can copy a small part of that area, scale it to something bigger, and place leaders and text to explain the details.

Thank you!

You can try the EXTRIM command from Express Tools.

you can make a round view port in paper space or make a view port with an object.

Best solution, use Extrim command. After, use Copy command and type in IP on command line. Disable OSNAP and costruct a polygon around circle. Now copy polygon and paste it on a new autocad file. Close but don't save your source file. Open it again and paste your previous polygon and adjust it.
