I prepared a drawing in AutoCAD 2006 I protected my file with a password Now I have been forgotten password how can I recover my password |

Sorry. I think you're in trouble.
Look 'n see if a *.bak file was generated before the password.
If so, save your passworded *.dwg file someplace and then rename the *.bak file.
Did you by any chance create a *.pdf file for anyone?
A *.pdf can be converted to a *.dwg, not a great job but, might help you start over.  ------------- Tankman "When the well's dry, we'll all know the value of water." |

If you are hoping to find some kind a password-reconstruction tool, there is none, unfortunately. No, there is no solution. You will just have to create the drawing again, but this time, save a copy without a password. And also, write down your password and save it someplace where you will be able to find it.

I have the same problem....i lost the password.... why i protected this file is just to keep the stuff inside it from being copied by my college mates....as this was an assignment .... ------------- Where there is a Wheel there is a Way |
