I am looking for inexpensive (<$100 or even opensource) CAD software to use when I undertake home improvement projects or a furniture project or even the design of a piece of luggage. It is important for me for the software to be able to make a list of materials needed.
I am using win xp and 7 now and will soon have my first linux install.
Any suggestions? I have looked at a number of free/open source options but there is nothing in the documentation that tells me that they will generate a list of materials.
