3D solids and surfaces "remember" their editing history - e.g. when they were created by boolean operations (subtraction, union...). The [CMD]BREP[/CMD] command just removes this stored history (with no visible impact on the model).

Boundary REPresentation is a technical term used in the solid modelling kernels.
