You want to make it so that it can NEVER be erased??? Sorry, I don't think that's possible, and, I don't even know why you would want to do that?

There is software out there that will supposedly lock a drawing, making it uneditable. You might want to check out that option. The program I'm referring to is called CadLock. I have never run into a situation where a file provided to me was not changeable. Even as a reference, the block has to be available to reference. If you have a concern about your drawing not being changed, don’t share it in a cad format, send a pdf file. Even those can now be vectorized and changed as needed if your know how to do it. We do this all day long because the clients provide us with paper line drawings. |

When you create the block, there is a setting, so it will not explode. Just click on the box in your block editor. Hope this helps. J

But all that does is makes it unexplodable. It's still editable. And all you have to do is open the block in the editor, BEDIT, and change it back to "Allow Exploding" and then it can be exploded again.
There really is no way to protect drawings. If someone comes up with a way to lock a drawing, someone else will come up with a way to unlock it. That's just the way it goes.
Just keep good records of what you sent, when you sent it and who you sent it to. Sending zip files via email is a great way to keep track of where your drawings are going. Also, include a disclaimer with the drawings which states that any changes made to them without your consent will violate whatever contract you have and void any guarantees or warantees, expressed or implied, contained within the drawings. Have your lawyer write something up.
