Something has changed in my company's AutoCAD 2004 that causes inserted jpegs appear as empty rectangles.  It had, previously, worked normally.  I did not knowingly change anything, but something has happened.  Can anybody help?
 
By the way, I have used most AutoCAD versions from Release 8 to AutoCAD 2008.  This is my first experience with AutoCAD 2004 and I am finding it to be the most diabolical installation of AutoCAD that I have seen in regard to doing things that it is not supposed to do.  Was this a troublesome version?
