Hi, I was wondering if there is any way I can install the Active X control from iproject under Windows 7?

I tried manually and I can't make it work.

I even imported xanadu's certificate to my trusted authorities, and it still doesnt work

I have set my IE8 to accept all cookies, and enabled javascript.

Any ideas?

I keep seeing the red X sign at the top left corner.

Thanks
George

Please use the Download link in the menu (and the first item) to download and run the manual installer of the iProject component. You may also need to enable running ActiveX components in your MSIE security settings.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

I used the manual download link, and I installed it successfully. Install completed and now I can see three DLL files in my local drive C:\Program Files\XANADU a.s.\iPROJECT client

However when I visit www.iproject.cz I still see the attached screenshot.

I tested it in two "Windows  7" laptops.

Is there anything else I could try?

Thank you

Please check your browser security settings for running ActiveX components.

Thank you very much for the reply

I changed the Active X security settings in my Internet Explorer 8 as below, and I re-opened the browser. I still have the same error (red X sign) on two different laptops I tried.

Any ideas?

Thank you

The default Internet Explorer in Win7 64-bit is the 32-bit version of MSIE. But aren't you by chance running the 64-bit version of MSIE?

Run the "c:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

It appears that the Czech version works fine!

Can you please troubleshoot what's wrong with the English version?

So, it appears that when I click on the Czech language link, the activeX plugin loads normally - works great.

When I click the German language link, again, the ActiveX works OK

But when I click the English language link, nothing happens - just the red X error mark.

Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Thank you
George

Please try to delete your Internet Explorer temporary files (cache), uninstall the iProject ActiveX component (in Control Panel or in MSIE - depending how you have installed it; CZ+EN version) and retry the manual download+setup from http://www.iproject.cz - www.iproject.cz

Dear Vladimir, thanks

I cleaned my IE temporary files and removed the activeX addon. installed the .exe from the manual download link, went to english language site, and it gives me the red "X" right away.

If I click on "cesky" language at the top, it loads the software right away without problems.

If I click on "English" again - it doesn't work

I even re-formatted my old laptop to try it. Does the same thing on a brand-new laptop.

Any ideas to make the english version work?
