I have one install of AutoCAD 2008 Lt that will not associate a .dwg with it. If I open windows explorer and try to open a .dwg it will open a new AutoCAD application every time it does not matter if there is already one open. I have AutoCAD 2005 Lt on the same machine and it does not do this.

 

Any ideas on what I need to change?

Please check the SDI variable and the DWG association in the Registry. See tip:
