As part of our efforts to promote math and science among students, Autodesk hosted 17 eighth grade students from Glenbrook Middle School in Concord, California. They visited Autodesk as a field trip as part of the TechBridge program. Techbridge is an afterschool and summer program hosted by Chabot Space & Science Center that encourages girls in technology, science, and engineering through hands-on exercises and informative guest speakers.

The agenda for the students today included:

  • Autodesk Bingo - icebreaker introductory exercise where everyone gets to know one another
  • Design a room with http://www.homestyler.com/" target="_self - Autodesk Homestyler
  • Fun with faces with http://www.autodesk.com/fluidfx" target="_self - Autodesk Fluid FX on an iPad
  • Autodesk Scavenger Hunt - running around on our 5th floor
  • Lunchtime with one on one time between student and role model - according to one participant, questions ranged from "Did you make Avatar?" to "Who does your hair?"
  • http://www.autodesk.com/gallery" target="_self - Autodesk Gallery Tour
