I am having trouble getting my properties palette to fly down. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. Any solutions to what I am doing to make this happen.      Thanks,  Kip

Is it anchored or docked? Or is it just floating?

When mine was just floating I seemed to have more issues with it not closing up. Since I anchored it to the left, however, I haven't had any problems with it.

I have my palette at the top left hand side of my drawing. I have tried to open it with the tool bar docked and undocked. I have also tried to move my tool bar to a different location. This still does not work. Anything else that I can try.                 Thanks,     Kip

Try to Anchor it and see if that helps.

To anchor it, click on its 'properties' icon (top-left of sidebar beneath the 'Close' and 'Auto Hide' icons), then click on 'Anchor-left  <'.

For some reason I can't seem to get this to work. I have had this same problem in the past and I have re-installed AutoCAD and it fixed the problem. The reason I haven't tried this is because when I pick "add or remove programs, change, re-install or repair" I have three options. "re-install AutoCAD, repair registry, or repair errors in my installation. I am not sure which one I selected previously and I don't want to pick the wrong one. Any solutions to this. Thanks for your continued help.           Kip

I'm sorry but I don't get what you mean.
Is it layer manager palette or properties palette? And what do you mean by fly down?
I do hear some problems that layer properties manager as a palette, but works fine as old dialog box. If that's the problem, you can try using CLASSICLAYER.

The icon, when I point to it shows 'Layers Properties Manager'. It resembles three gray sheets of paper stacked on top of each other. By "fly down" I mean 'drop down'. I have to restore my computer every day in order for my layers to drop down.            Please Help,       Kip
