I made a drawing in 2D (Classic workspace) in model space , then to extrude it I went to the ViEW- 3Dview - SW isomeric. The UCS changed from XY to XYZ and the cursor from the standard crosshair to tricolour isometric. I did not extrude the drawing which was now showing in the XY plane ,because I want to make changes. I want to take the drawing back to the Original 2D Workspace and make the changes there. How Can I do this ????

First off try typing "plan" and hitting [enter] twice

Do what you did before...'view' then '3dviews' the just select 'top', 'bottom' or something else.
And BTW to extrude you don't exactly need to change views...I would suggest using the command '3DORBIT' to change your viewing angle for extrusions.

For 2D, you can also type in DDVPOINT, click the 'Set to Plan View' button, then click OK.
And to get back in to the 3D view, you can also press & hold the Shift Key while pressing and holding your mouse wheel. This will allow you to move your mouse around and give you the dynamic view that you want. And so you're not stuck with the set view of SW or SE, or whatever you set it to.
