Hello,

I have a drawing I need to change the Dimension Text Size and it
is "greyed-out" ... I can't change it ... why?

I am not a regular using of ACAD ... glad I am not... but I have to
work with it now and then when I get drawings in ACAD.

Now I have a drawing that some designer ... in his/her great wisdom...
made the dimension text size so small that when the drawing is plotted
you cannot read the dimension they are too small.  And I cannot change the properties on these dimension .... why would someone do this????

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Pete W.

i think, first you use qselect command to choose dimension, after that you press ctrl +1 at the same time to open property windows!in that windows you'll see height text row and you can modify it!ok!

Hi

First check if your dimensions is on a seperate layer. To do that go just click on a dimension and check the name of the layer in your layer tool bar.

Then you go into your layer properties manager and check if the is not locked if locked unlock the layer and you will be able to do your thing.

To change dimension text size go to your dimension style and check on the text tab what your text size is and change as required.

let me know if you came wright!!!

cheers
