| Im trying to use offset (working with autocad 2006) on an arc. I need the point of origin and the end point to be the same as the arc Im offestting from. I know this is possible cause I does it on my work computer but for some reason my home computer wont do it? (same autocad year on both). Any ideas? aside from hand drawing the arc? |

It's not clear what you're trying to do, so I've tried to interpret :)
Offseting of an arc should create a parallel arc, of different radius (depends on offset amount). An offset arc would not have the same start (origin?) and end points.
If you want an arc to have same start & end points, create a copy at same location, then grip/drag center to desired location.

dml, I think the only way to handle what you're trying to do is by
manipulating the grips. As in the image below, if you click on the object you will see the grips associated with the object. By selecting the arrow grip at the top (upper image), you can offset the arc; which changes the location of the beginning/end points of the arc. But, by selecting the mid-point grip (lower image), you can adjust the arc radius without changing the beginning/end points of the arc. Does this help?  ------------- -- R.
