Hello Guys, im experiencing the following problem with autocad:
At start up, the following messages are listed:
Customization file loaded successfully. Customization Group: ACAD
Customization file loaded successfully. Customization Group: CUSTOM
Customization file loaded successfully. Customization Group: AUTODESKSEEK
Customization file loaded successfully. Customization Group: EXPRESS
Regenerating model.
; error: bad character read (octal): 0
AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.; error: bad character read (octal): 0
After saving the file and opening it on another healthy computer, the same problem happens on that computer. and so on...
The MBUTTONPAN and Highlight system variables are set to 0...
I always have to set them back to 1, so that things get back to normal..
this is not an easy situation. It is spreading wildly...
Please let us solve this problem...

The spreading mechanism looks like a possible virus. See also the Related tip 7143.

I was able to get rid of the virus today by completely uninstalling the Autocad program and deleting every file and folder that relates to it. The files that I deleted included those that are set to appear as hidden in the AppData folder under Autodesk. The program was reinstalled and functioned correctly @ startup. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program withought deleting all of the related folders under Autodesk in the 'program files' folder and AppData folders does not solve the problem. By and large, I didn't kill the virus which lurks in some files that I permanently deleted from my computer. However, I saved my laptop from a format. It's still out there somewhere in some corrupt file on the net, or in some freind's ex-hard drive. The virus's mechanizm is still ambiguous and acts just as I explained in the previous post.
